Music Composer
Mick Taylor - When Mick Taylor plays - a generation listens.  With over twenty years in Rock and Roll to his credit, Mick has lent his talents to great artists such as The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan and his first mentor, John Mayall.  In 1966 John Mayall asked 17 year old Mick Taylor to join his BluesBreakers as lead guitarist, filling the position previously held by Eric Clapton. The following two year association produced three albums for London Records and great acclaim from fans and critics alike.  Mick joined The Rolling Stones in 1968 at the height of the summer of love and made his first public at the legendary Hyde Park Festival. For the next six years Mick Taylor's unique sound would help the now legendary song writing team of Mick Jagger and Keith Richards set a precedent for all of Rock and Roll to follow.  His contributions are evident in such classic albums as Let it Bleed, Sticky Fingers, It's Only Rock and Roll, Goat's Head Soup and Exile on Main Street.  After leaving The Rolling Stones, he released a critically acclaimed solo album for Columbia Records.   In 1983, Mick joined Bob Dylan for the recording of the Infidels album. More than just a guitar hero, Mick Taylor has contributed to numerous movie scores and other artists' projects over the course of the last decade.   He composed the score for David Bowie's film The Man Who Fell To Earth, collaborated with Mike Oldfield on the Tubular Bells project which was used for the sountrack for The Exosist, and more recently, played on the score for Jack Nietzsche's The Last of The Finest.   Mick Taylor guitar riffs added to the rock and roll crunch of Joan Jett and his guitar embellishments can also be heard on Phoebe Snow's album entitled Something Real.
